Whew ...! I know schools now are different than when I was going a hundred years ago.
And I know it's a different world in some ways ... but basically, people, ie - Human nature, hasn't really changed.
There was a tendency back in my day to push the limits, to see if you could get away with something ... you know. But, there were limits! There were consequences to be met if you challenged those limits.
Are there now? or do you have to practically go crazy before you get kicked out?
Why does the administration of schools systems today tolerate the things they do? Why do they allow kids to dress the way they do ? Guys wearing pants down to their knees! Girls not covered up near enough. I mean dang... shame on the parents that allow their kids to dress this way.
Why does a kid need a cell phone on their person while in school? They shouldn't leave the locker while they're in class!
And I hear that these kids talk just about any way they want to teachers. That shouldn't happen more than once. Some of these kids who just want to disrupt should be "left behind"!
I love these kids ... but lets give them guidance and some sane limits ... and consequences if they choose to ignore them. They might actually learn something while they're in school.
This is an administrative problem. I'm not saying we have to have a Military school but we have to have some discipline. Discipline doesn't just happen... Just like keeping weeds out of your garden doesn't just happen.
The people of Pike county should raise cane about this. The parents and Administrators should clearly define these Discipline guidelines.
It doesn't have to stay this way. We can fix it ... if we have the will!
Let's water the flowers and pull the weeds.

Welcome
Welcome to Talk Pike County!
I love living in Pike County Georgia.
I believe good things stay good and get better by giving them the attention they need.
If I leave my garden alone, guess what ? You guess it ... weeds, weeds, weeds. That's just the nature of things.
I started this blog to have a place to discuss "all things Pike" ... good, bad and ugly.
I'm not a talented writer but I believe in open discussion with hopefully a civil tone, living by the Golden Rule, common sense and seeking the Truth...
So, Do you see something in our Pike County Garden that you would like more of ? Do you see any weeds trying to creep in? Talk about it ... and again, Welcome!
